About

Kreative Learners is an online platform designed for creative learners to give them exposure in the field of creativity. This was created as a part of my apprenticeship program with Maitri Designs during my last semester in college. This project was done during COVID-19 pandemic.

Research

I started the project by researching and understanding the concept of creativity. To get the understanding and importance of it I tried to answer this question-

What is creativity and why it is important to be creative?

Creativity is like a skill you can practice and a way of doing things you can learn. It starts with knowing stuff, learning a subject, and getting really good at a certain way of thinking. You can become creative by trying things out, looking around, asking questions, using your imagination, and putting ideas together.

Being creative is handy because it makes you better at solving problems in all parts of your life and job. It lets you see things from new angles and handle situations that aren't clear. Creative folks are cool with not always knowing what's next because they can change their thoughts to go with the flow of what's unknown.

Secondary Research

After getting some knowledge on creativity, I researched about the types of Ed-Tech in online and offline modes to understand the Ed-tech market. Shown below are the pro’s and con’s for each mode which helped me figure out the general problems in each mode of learning process.

Narrowing down the market, I listed the target auidences and thier Motivation and Arspirations to understand their way of thinking towards creativity.

I did competitive analysis with some competitors to understand the offering of Ed-tech platform to their targeted audiences. These are not the direct competitors but shares similar audiences with Kreative Learners.

Putting my thoughts on the table helped me filled the gap between HOW, WHY, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE for the need of visual thinking and creative skill in generation z+

This project was done during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was very difficult to take interviews in person.
I took 9 interviews (3 from each category) of the targeted Users on phone call.

After brainstorming session with the client on what direction to go in, I landed on a solution. We have decided to design a creativity course for the learners which will allow them to experiment, explore and help them to think creatively.

For that, I have asked the client to answer some specific questions which helped me get some content for the creativity course.

As designing the creativity course for different age groups, I researched on creativity scale. I found that every age group have different level of learnings. For example, drawing of 5 years old vs 15 years old vs 30 years old is different (even if the subject is same but level of complexity and learning changes)

For the initial content of the Course, we have decided to start the course with Sketching, Drawing, Painting and Craft, because these four fields helps in creating unique ideas and allows people to put their imagination on the paper. To understand the level of learning for Sketching, Drawing, Painting, and craft I took help from the bloom’s taxonomy.


I have placed the stages (originality, exploration, flexibility, synthesis, artistic value and innovation) on the left side while putting the verbs from bloom’s taxonomy on different levels from 0 to 8
